Social Services

The Welfare, Social Services and Public Assistance functions for Long Hill Township are handled by the Morris County Board of Social Services.  They administer public assistance programs, including Food Stamps, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, all Medicaid programs, and General Assistance for county residents.  They provide such social services as social and medical transportation, homeless services, homelessness prevention, child support and paternity services, counseling, health screening, Medicaid outstationing, and emergency food services.

These instructions take you the BACK WAY, so you can avoid some really ugly jughandles and U-turns on Route 10.

Take I-287 North to Exit 36B, Ridgedale Ave.
Turn right at the first traffic light onto Ridgedale Ave.
2.5 miles on Ridgedale Ave. Watch for a firehouse and at the NEXT traffic light,
Turn left onto Malapardis Road.
1.1 miles to Johnson Rd. and turn right.
0.4 miles and turn right into driveway marked "1719". (First driveway after the BIG power lines.)
Pass 3 buildings on your left, then turn left into the last parking area.

Coming home, continue north on Johnson Rd. to Route 10. Turn right.
1.2 miles to I-287 South
