The Welfare, Social Services and Public Assistance functions for Long Hill
Township are handled by the Morris County Board of Social Services.
They administer public assistance programs, including Food Stamps,
Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, all Medicaid programs, and General
Assistance for county residents. They provide such social services as social and medical
transportation, homeless services, homelessness prevention, child support
and paternity services, counseling, health screening, Medicaid outstationing,
and emergency food services.
