Korean Conflict Veterans Medal Ceremony

The Medal   
 

On November 17, 2002, the Township held a ceremony at the Stirling Firehouse to present the Morris County Freeholders Korean Conflict Commemorative Medal to the Township's veterans of that war.  The Medals were presented by Freeholder Director Douglas Cabana, Freeholder Cecelia Laureys and Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen.  This page contains a few pictures of the event and the names of the 29 honorees, as well as the names of an additional 13 World War II veterans who received the WW II Commemorative Medal at this ceremony.

You may qualify for a medal if you served during World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam, Lebanon, Grenada, Panama, Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Somalia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Haiti, Operation Enduring Freedom or Operation Iraqi Freedom.  If you missed the ceremony, contact the Morris County Department of Human Services at 973-285-6866.
