A variety of other organizations in Long Hill Township sponsor recreation events throughout the year.  This page lists them.  Although these events are not sponsored by the Township, they are all recognized and encouraged in some way by the Township.

Little League 600 boys and girls from 6 to 15 years old play at the Little League fields on Poplar Drive in Stirling. Click here for details.
Fishing Derby Sponsored by the Long Hill Policemen's Benevolent Association each spring at the pond next to Stirling Lake. Open to boys and girls through 5th grade. Stirling Lake

Mayor's Cup Softball A competition between the Police Department and the Fire Companies Each May or June
Memorial Day Parade Held each year to honor the residents of the Township who fought for our nation. Click here for pictures of the 2001 and 2002 Parade.
Freedom Tour Bike Race Sanctioned Bike Races.  Level course in downtown Stirling.  July 29, 2002 Click here for details.
Country Fair The Country Fair is held on Long Hill Road in Millington on October 6, 2002. Click here for details.
Tree Lighting Township gathering to light the tree, and enjoy seasonal music by the Central School orchestra and choir.  Surprise entertainment.  Bring cookies for all to share.  December 1, 2002 at 5:00 PM.  Meyersville Circle. Click here for details.
Soccer League The Watchung Hills Soccer Association serves the youth of Long Hill, Warren, Watchung and Green Brook.  (It was formed as a feeder club for the WHRHS soccer teams.)  Open to boys & girls K-8. Professional coaching.  Games Saturdays 9/21/02 - 11/16/02.  Some games at Riverside Park. Click here for details and registration or contact Ed Tenebruso at 908-604-2792.

Registration is $75.00 and closes September 13.  Last chance in-person registration at Warren Public Library 9/13 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

Soccer League The Somerset Hills Soccer Club serves the youth of Long Hill and the surrounding towns in Somerset County. Over 1,200 players participate. Junior Program (K-1).
