| One size fits all |
- Eligibility: Long Hill Township children preschool through 5th grade. An adult must accompany all participants
- Date: April 19, 2003 Rain or shine
- Time:
Pre-K, through 2nd grade - 8:00 AM - 12:00 Noon
3rd, 4th, and 5th grade - 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM
No fishing will be permitted before or after the event.
- Location: Stirling Lake west pond
- Required Equipment: All participants must supply their own fishing equipment
(poles, bait, hooks, bobbers).
NO lures or fly fishing equipment permitted.
- Limit: Three fish limit per child
- Parking is available at the Lake,
and additional parking will be at Central School.
There is a path behind the Library which leads to the Lake.
- Registration: Return the Registration Form
to Police Headquarters BEFORE April 18, 2003 or bring it along and register on site.
As an added attraction, the pond will be stocked with prize fish.
Any child catching one of these fish will be given something special !!!!
Last year two people caught prize fish. This could be your year.
Also while supplies last, a tee shirt will be given to each participant.
Note: In the past several adults have been noticed
fishing during the event. As a reminder, the fishing derby is a child participant event.
Although it is recognized and encouraged to assist the participants, No adult fishing is permitted.
Violators will be removed.

200 Children came to fish under warm overcast skies. The PBA stocked the lake with 500 trout for the Derby.
