Flashing icon that says: NewMICROCHIP IDENTIFICATION.  On Wednesday, June 11, 2001, from 6:00 - 9:00 PM, the Dog Obedience Club will conduct a Microchip Clinic.  You do not have to be a member of the Club to have your dog tagged in this way.
For $37.00, a veterinarian (Dr. Donna Greybek) will implant the Home Again microchip, the size of a grain of rice, in your dog's shoulder.  Most vets, animal rescue organizations and animal research labs have scanners.  If a dog is scanned and has a chip, then a number is displayed, and a call to the AKC 24-hour registry hot-line will re-unite the dog with its owner.
Call 908-580-9393 to register for the microchip implant.  Mail a check for $37.00 to S.C.D.O.C.; 534 Howard Ave.; Middlesex, NJ 08846.  A few extra microchips will be available for walk-ins, but it is preferable to pre-register just to be sure.
